Sustained Investigation

My question for my sustained investigation was, “how does transparency shape the world around us?” My work shows evidence of practice and consideration through the way the pieces have changed over time due to my definition of transparency changing.  I began by focusing on glass and its method of shaping our world. From this, I began to explore what glass and its transparency are used for. Then I branched out to other forms of transparency and how they distort our reality. I ended up with a much more abstract definition of transparency and a realization that almost everything has elements of transparency in it. The work that has guided me the most is my first work, “Acquiescence”. In this, I explored my question and solidified what it meant to me. That helped me gain confidence and from that creativity which informed me of my next pieces.
